The results are in-Giveaway Time!18 Comments

Thanks to everyone who voted in my first poll! As you can see, the results for another giveaway were for a kitchen tool! Since last time I did a cooking tool, I thought it was time for a baking tool. My love for baking is so strong, I find so much joy making any type of baked goods. My mom has the same love, I must have inherited it from her! This is a great tool to help you icing all those goodies whether they be cookies or cupcakes. Another great thing about this kit is that they are very kid-friendly. My sister who is ten always helps my mom with decorating. The kit includes frosting bottles, decorating tips, and a spatula. Some suggestions for the kit that I found on Kuhn Rikon’s site are the following:

  • create dozens of colorful effects – lettering, leaves, stars, rosettes and more
  • drizzle melted chocolate or other toppings over your favorite desserts
  • Decorate dessert plates by piping small dots and dragging tip through to create hearts

Do BOTH of the following:

  • First, become a public follower of Dainty Chef OR “like” Dainty Chef on Facebook (if you already are a follower skip to the next step)
  • Second, leave a comment telling me what your favorite thing is to bake
****DEADLINE for entry is Friday, January 28th at 3:00 pm. Winner will be chosen via random.org. I will announce the winner later the same day!

Hi Krissy! I love to bake cupcakes {and decorate them….so this gadget might be FUN for that!}. Already a fan on FB. By the way, loving the new look of the blog!

  3. I am a new follower to your blog, thanks to Kate of Studio Lime Design! I love to bake literally anything, but my favorite has to be when I am baking something new and for the first time. I have been baking since I was old enough to hold a wooden spoon but there are still feats I haven’t attempted. Last week I made a bread pudding for the first time and it was fabulous. Not too long ago, I made red velvet whoopie pies for the first time and they too were very good. I love the anticipation of seeing the final product…not to mention tasting it!

Hi Krissy. I am also a new follower to your blog, since finding you on Kate’s site, Lime Design. I recently started my own food blog as well .. . check it out . . Mrs.B.My Guest. I’ve never considered myself a huge baker, I tend to be more into making fun appetizers. However, I’ve recently discovered how fun making cupcakes can be. I made them for my third grade class . . .filled the middle and decorated the tops with my new cupcake kit. I’m hooked. Just bought a mini-cupcake pan. Can’t wait to use it. These tools would be perfect!!

B.D.C. (Before Dainty Chef) my favorite thing to bake was a lemon pie recipe from my Venie Breen, my grandma. 2 unique things about it: Venie baked a meringue pie shell instead of crust and she folded whipped cream (cool whip for me) into the lemon filling for a light, tart, almost-fluffy pie.

A.D.C., the lava cakes are a favorite–and the ice cream!

First of all, I love baking anything with friends. There’s just something about baking something with someone that makes it more fun. But my favorite thing to bake if I’m alone is peppermint pattie cookies because A) there is no candy more delicious than a York Peppermint Pattie and B) when I make them by myself there are more left for me! ~Katie H.
