Asian ColeslawLeave a comment

So this is my first re-post since I wanted to update the picture and add the printable recipe. I made this dish for Bunco this past Friday and plan to serve it tomorrow with pulled pork sandwiches so it was on my mind. My sister was served this once at her holiday party and it immediately became a regular within our family once she made it. It has become the request I get most often for salad bar at work. It is very easy to make and is a delicious side dish for any time of year. If you are having or attending a pot luck, I highly suggest bringing this with you! It will be an automatic hit, I promise. It is the perfect way to dress up ordinary coleslaw. If you are making this ahead of time, wait to add the dressing right before serving. Asian Coleslaw (Printable Recipe) What you’ll need: Asian Coleslaw 1 bag of cole slaw – 16oz. 2 packages of ramen noodles oriental flavor – uncooked 2 bunches of green onions – sliced 1/2 cup of sliced almonds 1/2 cup roasted sunflower seeds Dressing 3/4 cup vegetable oil 1/4 cup red wine vinegar 1/3 cup sugar Seasoning packets from ramen noodles What you’ll do: Mix up dressing and set aside. Crush ramen noodles in zip lock bag. Mix coleslaw and green onions. Just before serving combine coleslaw mix, noodles, almonds and sunflower seeds. Then add dressing.
