Garlic Herb Italian Bread
With all these Italian dishes it only would be natural to share some bread with you this week. I don’t know about you, but I need something to soak up all that additional leftover sauce! I always end up buying Italian bread, slicing it in half, and then freezing part of it. There is just no way for the two of us to finish an entire loaf in one sitting. I was really excited when I saw this recipe in my most recent Food Network magazine. It was a way to dress up ordinary Italian bread and make it even more delicious. It takes only a few things to make it, the only thing that I needed to purchase for it was the parsley. It comes together fairly quickly and it is hard to eat just one slice. I challenge you to try and eat just one. I hope you have enjoyed the various Italian dishes I have shared this week.

Garlic & Herb Italian Bread
loaf of your favorite Italian bread
4 tbsp. butter
1 tbsp. olive oil
2-3 garlic cloves, minced
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. chopped parsley

What you’ll do:

Slice a loaf of Italian bread, stopping short of the bottom so the loaf stays intact. Melt the butter with the olive oil in a small saucepan. Add the minced garlic cloves and salt. Cook, stirring, 2 minutes. Stir in the chopped parsley. Spread the garlic mixture between the bread slices; wrap in foil and bake at 375 degrees for 15 minutes. Unwrap and bake until crisp, 5 more minutes. Serve warm.
