Blair and I were swimming in apples since we had gone apple picking. I used up the final ones this past weekend in an apple pie (updated picture of this coming soon). Of course, one way we enjoyed them was eating them straight for lunch, but sometimes I like to smother my apples with something. There is always the standard peanut butter route, but when you have peanut butter and jelly for lunch, you need a little something else. I had pinned this a few weeks ago and knew that I wanted to make this for when we were overwhelmed with apples. We enjoyed this dip as dessert and I also packed it in my lunch a few times. I scaled back the recipe to only make half of it because with just the two of us, there was no way we would be finishing it. I loved the combo of the sweet cream cheese mixture, the smooth caramel, and the crunch from the toffee bits. It was one heavenly bite with the sweetness of the apples. This would be the perfect dessert for a Fall party that you are either hosting or attending.

Apple Caramel Dip

Ingredients:
2 (8 oz.) packages cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 (16 oz.) carton Marzetti’s caramel dip
1 cup Heath toffee bits
apple slices

What you’ll do:
Beat together cream cheese and powdered sugar. Spread evenly on platter or large plate. Spread caramel dip evenly over cream cheese layer. Sprinkle evenly with toffee bits. Serve with apple slices.
