I hope everyone had an excellent Christmas and are now enjoying time off with your family and friends. We are still hosting my in-laws, my brother-in-law, so our days have been busy and fun filled showing off our area! On Friday, we drive back to North Carolina with them to spend some time with Blair’s friends that are still in Chapel Hill. We successfully pulled off our first hosting gig!
Here is a look at your favorites from this year! Last year the list was very heavy on the sweets so it is nice to see more of a balance this year. There is even some breakfast items that made the cut! The blog has grown so much over the past year, I thank you for all of your support. Of course getting a new design was one of the highlights, but also becoming a contributor for the HuffPost Taste was an incredible honor as well! So without further ado, here are your top 10 favorites from the year!
Crockpot Chicken Enchilada Soup– I swear if I see this picture on Pinterest one more time, I will lose it (just kidding). It is definitely the most popular recipe on the site since last December when I posted it. It brought my blog to a whole new level!
Cookie Dough Fudge– Thanks to Foodgawker for sharing this, it blew up the stats.
Grilled Cheese Rolls– I was so surprised by this one, who knew that people would love this idea so much. It has been included on many round-ups and it has become the only way my nephew will eat his grilled cheese!
Cinnamon Roll Pancakes– I made these for dinner one night when I was in the mood for something sweet, they are easy to make and even more delicious to eat.
Cinnamon Sugar Pull-Apart Bread– This bread was one of the projects that I wanted to tackle this year in the kitchen, we enjoyed it for a few days, but I tell you I wanted to eat the whole loaf in one sitting.
Deep Dish Cookie Pies– These have quickly become a favorite dessert of my niece, Ella. Every time she comes to my house, she asks if we are having these for dessert and I don’t blame her!
Soft Frosted Sugar Cookies– I made these cookies for my sister-in-law’s baby shower, hard to believe our little man is now almost 5 months! They taste just like the store bought!
Slow Cooker Honey Sesame Chicken– I am not surprised there is another crockpot meal on this list. You can have take-out waiting for you when you arrive home from work!
No Bake Chocolate Eclair Cake– This is one of my favorite desserts of this year. I made it for Blair’s 30th birthday party and it is always a hit.
Balsamic & Brown Sugar Glazed Pork (crockpot)– This has become a family favorite not just with us, but also my sister and mom. The pork tenderloin is cooked and gets incredibly tender in the crockpot, then you made an amazing glaze to go on top.
